I am pleased to announce that Caroline’s Purpose won A Best Book Award for Winter 2026 in Christian Fiction from Pencraft!

Caroline’s Purpose was my first book—the story that started it all. 💛
It’s the beginning of Caroline’s journey: faith tested, purpose uncovered, and hope quietly growing when the path isn’t clear.
If you haven’t read it yet, now is the perfect time. Read it now, so you’re ready for what comes next.
After the last few months of 2025 were full of sticky notes, several dozen pages of a legal pad, an outline that got reworked four times, running out of ink in pen after pen, and flipping through Caroline’s Purpose checking on little details… I’m pleased to say that something exciting is coming in 2026. Stay tuned!
“A smile spread across Caroline’s face, for so many reasons. Because of her mother’s praise. Because she had just cleared an oxer set to 3’9”. Because she had finally let determination overcome fear. But most of all, because she was starting to remember what it felt like to fly.”
Just a small sneak peak of what I’ve been writing lately. Still have a ways to go! This video is from nine years ago today.
The ebook edition of Caroline’s Purpose is on sale for $.99 all month! Get yours today!
A rough wooden cradle,
Hay pokes through the swaddle,
Splinters of grace.
Learning a craft, carpentry,
Turning wood into beauty,
Splinters of grace.
Carrying a cross, to His death
Hanging from nails, fighting for breath,
Splinters of grace.
The weight of everyone’s sin,
There on the cross died with Him,
Splinters of grace.
But death had no victory,
He rose and conquered on day three,
Unending grace.
Hope and a future, love unearned,
Sinners shown mercy undeserved,
Unending grace.
A peace, a calmness, a quietness,
At depths I won’t try to explain.
Tranquility, like I’ve never known,
That overwhelms worry and pain.
More than I could ever ask for,
Or could have even dreamt.
Abundance, an overflowing cup,
Every unknown need and desire met.
A present, first wrapped in uncertainty,
That truth and love quickly replaced.
His gift, His blessing, His promise,
His light shining in a brand new face.
A name to represent all of this,
The emotions, the change, the growth,
To remember, yet look forward to,
All the beauty of Shiloh Rose.
